We design CD covers to compliment the artist. Personally, I believe that it's the music inside rather than the CD cover that's important, unless you don't know the artist. A bad CD cover may make the difference on rather a person which is not familiar with the music will purchase the CD or not. When a person is looking for new music and going threw music in a music store, a bad CD cover may deter that person from discovering your band. It also shows that the artist or artists took great pride and time putting together the CD when the design is created properly. So don't sell yourself short, get discovered, and make your CD sticks out from the others on the rack.
